Single Review: Street Symphony and Soda Supreme - “Glow on You”

There is nothing better to prepare us all for the impending heat of the season than a smooth banger made for summer nights. “Glow on You” fits the bill for this role and then some. Adding another notch to his eclectic belt, Street Symphony (aka Torrance Esmond) gives us another side of his talents to enjoy. Along with the skillful lyricism from Soda Supreme, the gentlemen have crafted a poetic record that highlights the magnificence they see in their leading ladies.

Records like this don’t come around like they used to. At least not when they are done well and so damn SMOOTH. Soda really kills it here with the flow, melodic and emotional, you get the sense that he is spittin’ from his heart. And on a record with this much feeling behind it, it doesn’t get any better than that.

The musical production is no-nonsense, a simple guitar melody with a knock that could easily play on into infinity and never get old. The music cradles the lyrics nicely, allowing Soda to ebb and flow in his tone and vocal delivery. This sounds like it will take off once the chill-wave side of YouTube gets a hold of it!

I will end my review in stressing just how important “girl records” are. The ladies are always the core audience and will sell out shows WAYYY before men do. Hate to say it, but it’s true! I think records like “Glow on You” do a great job of giving both men and women something they can enjoy. Men can dedicate it to their lady and the ladies can take a moment to soak in the praise that comes when their hard work is acknowledged. A total win-win. All in all, great record, great message, just in time for my nighttime drives. Let me know if y’all are listening to “Glow on You”!
